Metabolism in innate immune cells and cancer cells

 

We are interested in the interconnection between metabolism and cellular physiology. We study how metabolism is remodeled to enable innate immune cells (particularly neutrophils and macrophages) to function in immune response or allow cancer cells to adapt to specific environments, and how changes in metabolic status shapes immune functions and impact cancer proliferation and survival. To answer these questions, we combine systematic approaches, especially metabolomics, lipidomics and fluxomics, with targeted biochemical and genetic methods.
